Rules of Etiquette for the Latin America Solidarity Coalition General Listserv

1. This listserve is open to all individuals who are interested in US-Latin America relations and issues and who agree with the political principles and mission of the LASC. See www.lasolidarity.org.
2. Progressive solidarity subscribers to the listserve are welcome to post articles, commentary, or announcements about events and issues in Latin America and the Caribbean or US organizing in solidarity with progressive and revolutionary forces in civil society and their chosen leadership and governments. US immigration issues and indigenous land and cultural rights are also germane for this listserve. Posting on subjects that are not related to Latin America and the Caribbean may result in denial of posting privileges.
3. Items posted to the LASC info list are understood to be of a public nature and are therefore may be forwarded. Yet, unless otherwise specified by the original sender, forwards of messages posted to this list should exclude the original sender's address. Only the forwarders address should show in the forward. This is to safeguard the privacy of the original poster and to avoid potential political repercussions not anticipated by the original poster.
4. Under no circumstance, and under penalty of immediate removal from the list, are list members to subscribe any member of the list to other e-lists without direct consent. No form of commercial spamming will be tolerated.
5. This is an information and limited discussion listserve. The listserve is not moderated but people who post using disrespectful, racist, or hateful language, or who post comments supporting US imperialism or right-wing political agendas in Latin America and the Caribbean may be denied posting privileges. Exchanging opinions on the list is permissible while LASC's Coordinating Committee reserves the right to instruct over-extended exchanges be taken off the list or onto a separate discussion list
