Bus: (Fare: $1.70): From Dupont Circle Metro Station Q St. Exit Walk 0.11 mile SW from DUPONT CIRCLE to NW MASSACHUSETTS AV & NW 20TH ST. Take N2 or N4 Bus toward Friendship Heights (4 min. ride) Get off at California St. Walk .07 mi. back SE.

or

Bus: Walk .04 mi. SE for D2 Bus at Conn. & Q toward Glover Park (4 min. ride). Get off at Q & 23^rd. Walk .35 mi NW on Conn.

or

Walking Only: (15-20 min.)  Walk W on Q St. to Mass. Ave. Turn Right for several blocks and walk around traffic circle to continuation of Mass Ave. Walk several more blocks to 2443 Mass Ave. [Nice way to see several embassies on Embassy Row.]

Car: Parking in the vicinity of the Bolivarian Hall is extremely limited and hard to find. Rush hour restrictions on Massachusetts Ave. begin at 4:30pm. Consider leaving your car and taking public transportation or a taxi.

Apr. 8-10 Ward Circle Building, American University, 4400 Massachusetts Ave, NW

Rail: (Fare: varies by distance and time. eg. Dupont Cir. Rush Hour $2.55) Take Red Line train toward Grosvenor or Shady Grove to Tenleytown. (7 min. ride). Exit Wisc. & Albemarle. Take free AU Shuttle (Blue Line every 10-15 min.)

Walking: from TENLEYTOWN METRO STATION .77 mi. (15-20 min.)

Exit station using WEST SIDE OF WISCONSIN AVE & ALBEMARLE NW exit

Walk approx. 1 block SE on Wisconsin Ave NW.
Turn right on Tenley Circle.
Walk a short distance SW on Tenley Circle.
Walk straight on Nebraska Ave NW.
Walk approx. 6 blocks S on Nebraska Ave NW.
Bear right on Ward Circle NW.
Walk a short distance W on Ward Circle NW.
Walk straight on Massachusetts Ave NW.
Walk a short distance W on Massachusetts Ave NW.

Car: There is a large parking lot directly across Nebraska Ave. from the Ward Circle Building. Conference attendees can park there. (See campus map link above.)

Apr. 9 8:00-10pm St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 1525 Newton St., NW, Washington D.C., DC 20010 (Recommend you stop for dinner at Chinatown transfer point (will involve two fares) or Colombia Heights destination before proceeding to St. Stephens.)

Rail: (Fare varies: Rush Hour $3.05, non-rush $1.85) From Tenleytown Metro Take any Glenmont train to Gallery Pl/Chinatown. Transfer to Green Line train to Yellow Line (Ft. Totten) or Green Line (Greenbelt). Exit at Columbia Heights left exit (W). (24 min.)

Take Glenmont train to Ft. Totten. Transfer to Yellow Line train (Huntington) Exit at Colombia Heights (31 min.)

Walking: from COLUMBIA HEIGHTS METRO STATION to NEWTON ST NW

Exit station using main exit

Walk approx. 2 blocks N on 14th St NW.
Turn left on Newton St NW.
Walk approx. 2 blocks NW on Newton St NW.

Car: Parking is limited but you should be able to find something within a few blocks. Watch out for 2 hour limited zone parking.

Apr. 10 following the Conference: White House, 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., NW

Rail: From American U. Take Glenmont Train to McPherson Sq Station. Take White House exit. Exit top of escalator to left. Turn Right (S). Walk one block. Cross street to Lafayette Square and you’re there!

Car: Street parking is generally available on Sundays within walking distance of the White House.
