Venue for the LASC Anti-militarization Conference
We are pleased to announce that the 5th Latin American Solidarity Coalition Conference, taking place from April 8-10, 2011, will be hosted by the Anthropology Department at American University. The conference will be held at AU’s Main Campus, in the Ward Circle Building, located at 4400 Massachussetts Avenue, NW, in the Tenleytown neighborhood of Washington, DC.
Getting to American University
American University’s main campus is adjacent to Ward Circle at the intersection of Massachusetts and Nebraska avenues in northwest Washington, D.C. Glover Gate, the main entrance to campus, is located at 4400 Massachusetts Avenue. From the metro station at Tenleytown/AU (Red Line), exit out the east Metro entrance and proceed to the free AU Bus Shuttle stop (Albemarle and 40th Sts. NW). Make sure you board the Main Campus bus, not the Law Campus! Ask the driver to let you off at the “Ward stop“. The back entrance of the Ward Circle Building will be on the north side of the sidewalk. On weekends, the shuttle comes every 15 minutes. The first bus leaves the Tenleytown metro at 8am on Saturday and Sunday.
